The Special Railroading Merit Badge Day Workbook

- If you do not have a copy of Adobe Reader revision 8 or later, the latest revision can be downloaded from the Adobe website HERE
- After you have registered, be sure to send an email to the Railroad Merit Badge Day at Knott's Berry Farm organizer by clicking Here, and request a Special Merit Badge Day Troop & Patrol number. This year we are assigning the Scouts to Special Troops & Patrols before the event starts. The will expedite getting the Scouts into the Boardwalf Ballroom and seated at their first Whistle Stop in a timely manner. Once seated each Troop will be further subdivided into five Patrols of 8 Scouts. There will be a total of 8 Troops. Each Troop will have 5 tables for their Troop with 8 Scouts at each table. Look for the tables marked with your Troop number (1 through 8) and Patrol number (1 through 5)./li>
- The Special Workbook is a writable/savable/printable pdf document, which you can fill in using your computer. So please fill in all the information on the front page and the prerequisites 1a, 1b, 1c, 5a, 5b & 5c before you leave for Knott's Berry Farm..
- Hint: Here is how to answer requirement 1c. In the column marked "Car Name", ask yourself, which picture number is the named car? Once you have reviewed all of the pictures, pick the car number that belongs to the name of that pictured car. Then enter that number to the left of the Car Name. Then go to the next Car Name down the list and associate the picture with the car name. Then go to the Car Description column and do the same thing only your looking for how the car is used. Get the picture number and enter it in the box to the left of the Car Description block. Complete the list for each the 10 pictures.
- Scouts are welcome to fill out as much of the workbook as they wish. This will give you more time to listen to the material being presented during the Merit Badge Day round Robin sessions.
- Scouts must have their Special Workbook with them when they check-in Saturday morning at Knott's Berry Farm.
